In India there are so many service provider. You can check list below. BSNL, MTNL, AIRTEL, SIFY, Reliance and  Hathway they provide Internet connection via cable. You need to just apply for new connection and they will make ur home or work place WiFi.

The two companies are also pioneering 3G services in selected circles. BSNL has also started EVDO services since November, 2007.
