Google Glass announced its new feature lets wearers snap pictures by winking



Google Glass has updates to the software in its internet-linked eyewear to allow users to snap pictures by winking. Updates included letting owners lock eyewear so it can't be used unless a person knows the right "handshake" of swipes and taps. Google has plans to make Google glass more fashionable with designer frames. In addition, Google has plans to provide prescription lenses as part of the device.
Google Glass is an entirely new kind of wearable mobile device conceived to be a constant companion of sorts which can take care of all your mobile digital needs.
At present it is made available to only a handful of lucky developers who are analysing it. Currently only 2000 Google Glasses are available in the world, which were sold at $1500 on an invitation basis. According to some leaks, this device will come up with OMAP 4430 dual core processor and 1GB RAM.
The Glass can be synchronised with the phone and can carry out all the functions done by your mobile phone. The MyGlass companion app requires Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or higher.
In addition it is an entertainment hub with a screen of high resolution display equivalent to a 25 inches high definition screen at a distance of 8 meters.
The Google Glass comes with adjustable notepads and frame to fit all faces, with two extra nose pads. There is possibility that Google will have tie-ups with sunglass manufacturers like RayBan.
The Google Glass also comes with a 5MP camera which can be set to take pictures at constant intervals and transmit it to one’s social network if needed. It also can record videos at 720p
Connectivity options include Wifi - 802.11b/g and Bluetooth. It is also enabled with GPS and SMS capability
Storage: Google Glass has 12 GB of usable memory, synced with Google cloud storage and 16 GB Flash total.
Audio is via Bone Conduction Transducer.
